NOW, THIS IS VISUAL RADIO

Appealing to both the eye and the ear, Rhodes Music Radio (RMR 89.7 FM) went with vibrant yellow and red for its new on-air and production studios and added our IP 12 consoles with WheatNet IP audio networking between the two.

Located on the campus of Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa, this multi-purpose facility supports FM broadcasting, video podcasting, and streaming as a cultural presence in the community. The new studios were built by our partners at Soundfusion and partially funded by the Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA), which provides support for developing community and small commercial stations in South Africa. Soundfusion has built over 300 broadcast facilities in South Africa in recent years, the majority WheatNet IP audio networked.

Thanks for making us look good, RMR 89.7 FM. A special thank you to South Africa’s Media Development and Diversity Agency and Soundfusion integrators Alex Mathaba and Tiisetso for making it happen.
