The MG-1 is a flexible, single channel processor and the M-2 is a dual-channel processor that feature full parametric EQ, high and low pass filters, compressor, de-esser, expander and limiter functions along with easy preset management, and secure remote access, making these mic processors essential for any studio or broadcast setting.
The MG-1 is a versatile microphone processor designed to enhance voice quality, offering unlimited presets, security features, and network capabilities. It includes a Super Quiet™ microphone preamplifier that maintains a low noise floor, wide dynamic range, and precise transient response, ensuring the natural sound of any microphone and voice combination. The MG-1 also features Wheatstone’s proprietary dynamics processing, four-band parametric EQ, high- and low-pass filters, de-esser, and expander, all controlled via an intuitive GUI.
The M-2 is a dual-channel voice processor, offering two independent voice processing channels with Wheatstone’s advanced processing algorithms. It includes twin Super-Quiet™ microphone preamplifiers, four-band EQ, compressor, de-esser, expander, and limiter functions, all controlled remotely through a Windows-based GUI. The M-2 features flexible preset management, allowing for easy recall and customization of audio settings.

MG-1 / M-2 Control GUI
This control software loads on an external PC. You can connect the PC directly to the processor, or install the processor on your station’s Ethernet LAN and access it from anywhere in your network (or remotely over VPN). With this software, no adjustment is more than two mouse clicks away. And unlike other processors, every processing control is available and labeled for exactly what it does, giving you ultimate power to create your ideal sound.
The remote control screen is divided into an upper control area and a lower dynamic section that includes real-time display of gain reduction as well as a frequency-domain graph that shows the spectral characteristics of your audio. Every screen also includes accurate metering of input and output peak and average levels. Tabs across the top allow immediate access to each section of the processing, whether it’s parametric EQ, de-esser, filters, or compressor and downward expander.
Voice talent can activate his or her own personal sound at the press of a button using the Talent Control Interface, a special GUI designed for talent recall of pre-existing audio presets. The Wheatstone Talent Control Interface software can reside on an air studio/control room PC and can recall presets from any Wheatstone microphone processor, yet keeps all preset changes secure.
