When mix-ups happen, and they will, those two stereo 8×2 internal mixers combined with logic and routing in every Blade can be useful in many ways. Here are just a few:
Mix down multiple automation channels to a stereo output as a failover source in an emergency.
Feed automation programming direct to the transmitter, thereby bypassing and freeing up the on-air studio for production or voicetracking.
Record a telephone mix with a caller on one channel and the announcer on another channel—and edit in realtime with your VoxPro audio recorder/editor.
Split feeds. One Blade can take any stereo AES/EBU or analog input or output and split it into two mono channels. Or, it can route any stereo signal summed as mono to a mono destination such as a hybrid or codec.
Group several mics to a single output. You can use the output of each mixer as a talkback source.
Used in combination, Blade utility mixers, I/O and WheatNet IP scripting can automate IFBs as well as route, control, and mix down live feeds from multiple sources.
