License Server

A Smarter Way to Manage Your WheatNet IP Licenses

License Server
Meet WheatNet IP License Server

License Server pools together all audio drivers, ScreenBuilder licenses and other software licenses for WheatNet IP into a centralized location for dynamic reallocation and distribution where and when you need them.

License Server consists of two components: the License Server Config, which acts as the core server requiring a licensing key to allocate resources; and the License Server Viewer, a user-friendly interface for monitoring and managing licenses that can be installed on multiple devices in a system without needing a separate license. Together, these tools provide an efficient way to oversee licensing, optimize resource usage, and maintain seamless operations.

Smart Licensing. Efficient Management. Total Control.

Centralize Management of Licensing– All licenses are managed and stored in a central location and distributed across the network as needed.

Dynamically Allocate Licenses–License across all machines or consolidate licenses into a few machines, or any combination of either.

Bypass Technical Support – Tap into a pool of licenses at any time to reallocate a license to another machine during an emergency or set up a driver for a temporary guest position instantly in a few clicks. No tech support needed.

Save On Licensing Cost – License computer routing in Studio A one day, and the next, use that same license for a producer’s suite. Move licensing where you need licensing, rather than pay for additional licensing you might need only occasionally.

Monitor Usage – Track active licenses, availability, and expiration details in real time.

Customize Management with ScreenBuilder – Add your own ScreenBuilder interfaces for viewing, managing, and allocating licenses on the fly.

License Server

Smart, Centralized Licensing—Simplified.

License Server simplifies how your licenses are assigned and monitored. It ensures that all available licenses are stored in a centralized pool, allowing authorized computers to access them as needed.

Rather than assign a set number of audio drivers per computer, pooling audio drivers together in a centralized location and distributing them where and when needed can be especially helpful for setting up a temporary guest position, for example.  Simply tap into your pool of available audio drivers; no tech support needed. Likewise, instead of buying 20 individual ScreenBuilder licenses, you could cut that number of licenses in half with License Server. When a reporter logs in, their workstation automatically pulls an audio driver license and a ScreenBuilder mixer license from License Server. When they clock out and close ScreenBuilder, those licenses are released back into the pool for the next user. It’s seamless, flexible, and saves real money.

The License Server Config utility functions as the actual server, managing license distribution and running as a Windows® administrative service. The License Server Viewer utility offers a graphical interface to track and manage licenses effortlessly. Since it doesn’t require a license itself, multiple redundant installations can be set up for easy monitoring across your facility.
