The S-8 / 16 switch operates autonomously with no external PC required other than for initial setup and source naming. Once configured, the PC can be disconnected and the system runs standalone.
Installation is simple and quick (just eight CAT-5 cables interconnect eight studios), making expansion easy. The switch is capable of 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz or external sync operation. Installation and hookup is simple via the S-8's / 16's rear panel. Up to eight CAT-5 interconnects are supported; each one connects a D-75N console (or its associated E-Sat or MicroSat I/O center). An Ethernet link handles administrative tasks, and a CLOCK port allows synchronization to an external master clock.
We make 16, 24, 32, 40, and 48-port versions. Each port has capacity of 64 x 64 channels plus logic.
